Alison Gleeson

Alison Gleeson is Senior Vice President of the Americas organization, the largest of Cisco's four geographic regions, responsible for more than $25 billion in annual sales for the company. In her role, Gleeson leads nearly 9,000 employees across 35 countries and 5 theaters. These theaters include Canada, Latin America, U.S. Commercial, U.S. Public Sector, and the Global Enterprise Segment. Gleeson is a highly regarded international speaker about the drivers for digital disruption across industries, the role of technology as a competitive differentiation, and empowering women in technology.

 

In Gleeson’s 20 years at Cisco, she has led several top-performing organizations by focusing on a customer-first mentality, data-driven initiatives, and forward-looking strategies. Over the last three years, she has been instrumental in evolving Cisco’s go-to-market, strengthening relationships with top partners, and collaborating internally and externally to spearhead innovative solutions with our customers.

 

As an advisor to the Global Commercial business at Cisco, Gleeson ensures consistent execution across the geographic regions through a set of processes, programs, and roles to increase growth potential for the company. 

 

Gleeson maintains a commitment to professional development and inclusion and diversity in the workplace. In 2017, she received Diversity Best Practice’s “Above and Beyond Legacy Award” and Michigan Council for Women in Technology’s “Woman of the Year Award” for her work in advancing women in IT roles. Today, she holds the positions of Global Executive Sponsor and Board President for Cisco's Connected Women's Network, an organization with 7,000 members worldwide.

 

Gleeson also serves on the Broad College of Business Alumni Board for her alma mater, Michigan State University.
